Athletics at Kehoe-France Southshore give students a meaningful way to move, compete, and connect with their school community. From their earliest years on campus, children discover what they enjoy, try new sports, and learn how to work toward shared goals with their teammates.
Our student-athletes represent Kehoe-France in NOAL and local competitions, building resilience, teamwork, and sportsmanship, while strengthening healthy routines, growing in confidence, and enjoying the pride of playing for their school.
Compete with heart across more than 10 athletics disciplines - from flag football, basketball, and soccer to swimming, volleyball, golf, and track and field - developing skills, confidence, and school pride on and off the field.

At KFSS, athletes combine determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship while competing in the New Orleans Athletic League (NOAL) and other local competitions. At our private school in Metairie, students' hard work paid off during the 2024–2025 school year, with a total of seven athletic championship titles - reflecting a program built on resilience, commitment, and pride.

Join our co-ed Cross Country team to build endurance, strength, and confidence alongside classmates in Grades 3–7. Athletes train together two to three days a week, combining distance runs, sprints, and conditioning.
While races are not co-ed, the co-ed training environment emphasizes preparation, improvement, and teamwork, with a strong focus on healthy habits, nutrition, and hydration.
Dive into our co-ed Swimming program, open to students in Grades 4–7 of all ability levels. Swimmers practice three to four days a week, with some sessions before school and some in the afternoon, and compete in Saturday meets throughout the season.
The co-ed team setting encourages every student to grow in skill and confidence, supported by coaches who focus on stroke technique, fitness, and team spirit.
Develop skills and confidence on our Girls Volleyball teams, which include Junior Varsity and Senior Varsity squads. Open to girls in Grades 4–7, the season runs from late August through October.
Players sharpen their serving, passing, setting, and hitting while learning to communicate, lead, and support each other on and off the court.
Experience the excitement of the game through our Boys Flag Football program, where students practice offensive and defensive fundamentals in a safe, non-contact format.
Athletes learn plays, strategy, and teamwork as they prepare for league competition, building resilience, discipline, and pride in representing Kehoe-France.
Show your school spirit by joining our year-round, co-ed Cheer and Dance program. Students learn cheers, chants, and performance routines for games and special events, building strength, coordination, and stage confidence.
The co-ed team atmosphere fosters inclusivity, collaboration, and pride in supporting every Kehoe-France athlete.
Sharpen ball-handling, shooting, and defensive skills in boys’ basketball while competing in a spirited team environment.
Practices emphasize strong fundamentals, smart decision-making, and consistent effort, and league play gives athletes the chance to grow in confidence on the court and learn what it means to commit to a team.
Strengthen fitness, coordination, and court awareness through girls’ basketball, with opportunities for both developmental and middle school teams.
Practices build dribbling, passing, shooting, and defensive skills, while games help athletes handle competition with composure, support teammates, and take pride in their growth from season to season.
Train and compete with our co-ed Soccer team, where students improve ball control, passing, positioning, and tactical awareness in a supportive environment.
Co-ed practices and games highlight collaboration and respect, helping every player strengthen fitness, resilience, and a love of the sport while representing Kehoe-France.
Strengthen skills on our Girls Softball team, open to students in Grades 4–7 from mid-March to mid-May. Practices focus on fundamentals - throwing, catching, hitting, fielding, base running, and conditioning - while also building coordination, communication, and team chemistry.
The season culminates in a competitive league tournament, where players can showcase their progress and determination.
Explore a variety of events with our co-ed Track and Field program, where students can try running, jumping, and throwing disciplines.
Athletes train to improve speed, strength, and technique while encouraging one another to achieve personal bests. The co-ed team culture celebrates individual progress and shared goals in a supportive setting.
Learn and refine the game of golf in our co-ed Golf program, which welcomes both new and experienced players. Students practice swing mechanics, short game skills, and course etiquette in a calm, focused environment.
The co-ed format encourages students to support one another as they build confidence, concentration, and strategic thinking on the course.
