Choosing a school where your child is known, challenged, and excited to learn makes all the difference. At Kehoe-France Southshore, curiosity leads the way from 8 weeks through Grade 7, with students growing into confident, caring learners who are ready for what comes next.
At our private school in Jefferson Parish, the admissions process is clear, friendly, and shaped around your family. You’ll connect with our Admissions team, visit our campus to see learning in action, and complete a simple online application with required assessments for older students. At every step, we’re here to answer your questions, share what life at Kehoe-France really looks like and make sure your child’s start with us feels smooth, personal, and welcoming.
Start your child's journey at Kehoe-France Southshore with confidence. Complete your application and prepare for an exciting start.
Reach out to our Admissions Team or complete the online inquiry form to share your child’s details, ask initial questions, and learn more about our school in Metairie.
Book a personal tour or attend an open house to explore our beautiful campus, visit classrooms, and experience the warm, inclusive Kehoe-France community in person.
Submit the application form and upload any required documentation, such as recent school records, assessment reports, and relevant student information.
Depending on the grade level (Grades 1–7), a classroom visit, an assessment and/or an informal interview will be arranged so our team can understand your child as a learner and how we can best support their growth.
Your child’s place at Kehoe-France Southshore is confirmed once you receive a written confirmation from our admissions team. This will include clear next steps and a set of additional forms to complete before your child’s first day on campus.
Before your child’s first day, you will receive key information about uniforms, daily schedules, carpool, and orientation events to ensure a smooth, confident start to school life.
Choosing the right school is an important decision for every family. My goal is to make the admissions process welcoming, informative and personal, ensuring each family feels confident and supported from their first visit onward.

Prior school experience is not required for all early years applicants. If your child has attended another school or program, we ask for school records and any assessments so we can better understand and support their transition.

Applications for Elementary and Middle School must include:
Once you submit your application, Kehoe-France contacts your child’s current or previous school to request official records, transcripts, and the teacher recommendation.
Applicants complete an admission test appropriate to their grade level and participate in a classroom observation. These help our team understand your child’s academic readiness, learning style, and how we can best support their success.
Depending on the grade level, an informal meeting or conversation with the student and/or family may be included to learn more about the child’s interests, strengths, and needs.
Once the Admissions Committee has reviewed all documents, test results, and observations, families are notified in writing with an admissions decision and, if applicable, next steps for enrollment.
