Preschool

Our young learners in Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 experience early years that are intentionally designed, not “just play.” In Reggio Emilia-inspired environments combined with the IB Primary Years Programme (IB PYP), children build on a strong foundation, developing life skills such as independence, collaboration, and confidence.

Teachers scaffold language, social skills, and thinking, helping children grow as curious, confident, and internationally minded learners.

Our curriculum

Our youngest learners engage in an integrated curriculum that nurtures social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth while sparking curiosity and creativity. By the end of Pre-K 4, children benefit from a blend of Reggio Emilia-inspired environments and the inquiry-driven IB PYP framework, gaining strong foundations to thrive in the Lower School years.

Transdisciplinary Themes (IB PYP)

Big ideas that connect learning

Beginning in Pre-K3, students learn through transdisciplinary units of inquiry that connect all subject areas under big, conceptual ideas such as: Who We Are, Where We Are in Place and Time, How We Express Ourselves, How the World Works, How We Organize Ourselves, and Sharing the Planet.

These units encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and take action in age-appropriate, meaningful ways.

Growing through the early years

From Preschool to Kindergarten Reggio-Emilia inspired approach

From Preschool to Kindergarten

Our young learners progress from Preschool (PK3–PK4), where they develop early social skills and inquiry habits through play, into Kindergarten, where IB PYP units and emerging reading, writing, and numeracy skills strengthen their thinking, confidence, and readiness for elementary learning.

Reggio-Emilia inspired approach

Little learners thrive in spaces where Reggio-Emilia inspired environments and the IB Primary Years Programme work together. Classrooms act as a “third teacher,” with flexible centers, rich manipulatives, and open-ended materials that invite exploration, choice, and collaboration. Teachers observe children’s interests - building, gardening, storytelling - and use them to shape play-based, inquiry-driven experiences within IB PYP units.

Growing through the early years

We are grateful for a school that nurtures curious inquirers, caring hearts, and confident individuals - a beautiful beginning to a lifelong journey of learning!

Leslie

Kindergarten Parent

I truly enjoy spending my days with preschoolers - their joy, curiosity, and enthusiasm make each day unique. Through play and exploration, I guide and support my students as they learn, grow, and discover the world around them. Watching them become confident, curious learners is one of my favorite parts of teaching.
