From Little Eagles to Early Childhood, learning experiences spark curiosity and meaningful understanding. Our Reggio Emilia–inspired program supports communication, movement, and social development through purposeful play, routines, and hands-on learning.
Finding voice, building language
Even our youngest learners are immersed in language all day long. Teachers talk, sing, read, and respond to children’s sounds, gestures, and words, helping them build early communication skills in a warm, nurturing way.
Infants and toddlers enjoy stories, songs, rhymes, and finger plays that support listening, vocabulary growth, and early narrative understanding. Daily conversations during play, meals, and routines invite children to name objects, express needs, and share simple ideas. Teachers model rich language, repeat, and extend children’s attempts to communicate, and create many opportunities for turn‑taking in conversation.
Through nurturing relationships and daily interactions, children begin building the foundations for expressive and receptive language in a language-rich, supportive environment.
Moving, exploring, and growing with confidence
Movement is a key part of Early Childhood learning at Kehoe-France. Our indoor and outdoor environments are designed to help children strengthen both large and small muscles through safe, purposeful play.
Infants have space to roll, sit, crawl, and pull up with the support of soft equipment and attentive adults. Toddlers climb, run, balance, and ride on age-appropriate apparatus, practicing coordination and body awareness. Fine-motor skills grow as children grasp toys, stack blocks, explore sensory bins and experiment with crayons, dough, and simple tools.
Building trust, belonging, and early friendships
Early Childhood is a crucial time for building a sense of security, belonging and self. In our Reggio Emilia–inspired classrooms, relationships are the heartbeat—children are cared for by trusted, familiar adults who know them well and respond to their needs with warmth and respect.
Through everyday routines, children begin to learn how to share, take turns, and play alongside and with others. Teachers model gentle words, help children label their feelings, and guide them in resolving simple conflicts. Predictable schedules and clear expectations support self-regulation, helping children feel safe and confident.
Discovering how the world works through play
Infants and toddlers are natural explorers, learning best through curiosity and hands-on discovery. Our Early Childhood curriculum supports this exploration by offering open-ended materials and experiences that invite wondering, experimentation, and meaningful engagement with the world around them.
Through sensory-rich play and everyday interactions, children begin to explore cause and effect and develop early mathematical and scientific understanding. Attentive teachers support this learning by observing closely, responding with intention, and using thoughtful language to gently extend children’s curiosity and understanding.
The classroom a “third teacher”
In Early Childhood, the environment and daily routines are an essential part of the curriculum. Inspired by Reggio Emilia, we treat the classroom as a “third teacher” that supports independence, exploration, and calm.
Spaces are organized into small, inviting areas thoughtful displays, and carefully chosen materials at children’s level. Everyday routines - mealtime, diaper changes, rest times, arrival and departure - are approached as learning opportunities. Children practice self-help skills, such as washing hands, tidying toys, and following simple steps, developing autonomy and confidence.
Hearing a new language in playful, natural ways
Beginning in our two year old program, children are gently introduced to Spanish through songs, games. At this age, exposure is relaxed and playful, helping children tune their ears to new sounds and rhythms.
This early introduction to Spanish supports listening skills, flexible thinking, and global awareness. As students move through the grades, they continue to build on these foundations, developing communication skills and appreciation.
Exploring color and texture
Children explore with crayons, paint, collage materials and safe, sensory-rich tools. They smear, dab, press, and experiment, discovering cause and effect while building hand strength and coordination.
Teachers focus on the process rather than the product, offering invitations to create and wonder.
Each day in Early Childhood is filled with curiosity, play, and joyful discovery. Routines are tailored by age - from frequent naps and feedings for our youngest Little Eagles to longer stretches of exploration and play for older children. Across every level, hands-on learning nurtures imagination, independence, and confidence. Families can learn more by contacting our admissions office.
Children ease into the day by exploring their classroom, connecting with friends, and joining circle time and small-group activities that spark curiosity and early communication.
Snack and lunch offer healthy eating and social connection, while indoor and outdoor play - with plenty of hands-on activities - helps children move, explore, and build confidence.
Children enjoy quiet rest, group activities, and enrichment experiences before ending the day in a calm, reflective way.

From the moment children join Little Eagles and Early Childhood, we build close, trusting partnerships with families through open, reassuring communication. With a focus on wellbeing, settling into routines, and recognizing each child’s growth and development, we ensure families feel informed, supported, and connected throughout their child’s early years.
Daily updates through Seesaw share photos, brief notes, and highlights from the day, offering families insight into their child’s experiences, including eating, sleeping, playing, and social interactions, while providing an easy way to communicate directly with teachers. Weekly newsletters share upcoming events, reminders, and classroom moments, helping families understand the rhythms and experiences shaping each week.
From the very beginning of their Kehoe-France Northshore journey, Little Eagles begin developing essential life skills through everyday experiences and relationships. As children explore, experiment, and play alongside peers-and engage in songs, stories, and familiar routines-they build confidence, growing independence, and early social-emotional understanding.
Through nurturing relationships and play, our youngest learners explore with curiosity, communicate in meaningful ways, show care for others and their environment, and gain confidence as they try new experiences. These early foundations support a smooth transition into more intentional life-skills learning in Preschool and Kindergarten.
From the earliest years, language development in English is a daily priority. Babies and toddlers build strong receptive skills as they listen to voices, stories, and songs, and begin to develop expressive language through babbling, gestures, and first words. Through read‑alouds, rich everyday conversation, songs, and simple storytelling, they develop vocabulary, early pronunciation, and the first sense of how stories and routines fit together, all within meaningful, play-based contexts.
Teachers begin to weave simple Spanish words and phrases into songs, finger plays, and daily routines - greetings, colors, numbers, simple actions, and familiar objects. Babies and toddlers hear Spanish in short, joyful bursts - a song at circle time, a counting rhyme during play, a simple phrase during transitions.
