KEHOE-FRANCE ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS

Class of 2011

Matthew Donner

Matt Donner and Logan Betzer, both recent grads of the Class of 2011, have their own rock band! They have joined with two other Juniors at Brother Martin (Nicholas Tanner and Shaid Stewart) and their band is called “Elysian”. They have performed at Brother Martin, St. Matthews, and St Clement.

Matt got his start in music in the 4th grade band at K-F with Mr. Hotstream. Mr. Hotstream has taken time out of his very busy schedule to be there to support them. I know how much the boys appreciated that and I think he was pretty impressed!!! Fans can learn more about the band and their future performances by liking their Facebook page or on twitter.com/elysian_band and instagram.com/elysian_band.

Rebecca Nuss

Rebecca won an opera singing competition for the entire south. The competition, National Association of Teachers of Singing, is very well known in the opera world. She will go on to the national round next. Also, in May of 2013, she won Southeastern University's French Music competition. She is a pre-school music teacher during the summer, and this year, after the loss of her favorite teacher at NOCCA, she stepped up to become a student teacher and taught classes by herself until a replacement was found. She is fluent in Chinese and does regular performances in the Chinese-American community. She directs a Chinese choir at school and is on track to be Valediction of her graduating class.

Class of 2012

Antonio Imbornone

Antonio was recently named to the All District Team in cross country for 2013-14, was 2nd in the District Championship. He moved on to compete in state and was 5th in state at the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) State Championship at Northwestern University in Nachitoches, Louisiana.
